I have the time on my blog set to GMT by accident. Once installed, how do I change the timezone to US Central Standard Time (Texas)?

Thank You!
Ryan

open the config.php

you can change the GMT time in that file, make sure you dont touch any other... save & back-up before you change that file.

i tried to look in the config.php file but there is nothing there (no code); however, there is a config_temp.php file with some settings including this one on line 16:

Code:
$timezone = ' ';         // GMT time zone

Is this the one I change?

If so, what do I put in between the parenthesis to make the timezone US Central Standard Time?

Thank You!
Ryan

If I recall it right you put + or - the amount of hours that differ from GMT... if your timezone would be gmt+2 you'd type +2 in there (or possibly just 2)

you cant tell it to use anything but GMT (that I know of) but you tell it your offset from GMT

if you have installed mybloggie using wizard (2.1.3 version) & is up & running you should have a config.php something like this

Code:
<?php

// myBloggie 2.1.3 config.php file
// This file is auto generated , Please do not change anything in this file!

$dbms                         = 'mysql';
$dbhost                       = 'localhost';
$dbname                       = XXXXXX';    // Enter your mysqldatabase name here
$dbuser                       = 'YYYYY';    // Enter your mysql user name here
$dbpasswd                     = 'ZZZZZ';    // Enter your mysql user name here

$table_prefix = '';

$timezone = '0';

define('POST_TBL',"blog_posts" );
define('USER_TBL',"blog_user" );
define('CAT_TBL',"blog_category" );
define('COMMENT_TBL',"blog_comment" );

include('setting.php');

?>

Otherwise, you did not installed it correctly

just replace the timezone to the timezone you wanted

got it, thanks! I just changed this line in the code above

Code:
$timezone = '0';

to

Code:
$timezone = '-5';

Per the recommendation above and that gave me CDT, my local time in TX.

Thanks!
